Mother Rock Mother Rock ‘Holocene’ 2020

The grapes were grown from 3 single vineyards in the Paardeberg region, between Paarl and Malmesbury and some more west of Malmesbury towards Darling. The vineyard was planted in 1973 and 1984, widely planted and dryland farmed. Completely organically farmed methods with no chemicals sprayed on the vines and soils. Soils are mostly decomposed granite (Carignan and Mourvedre) with Malmesbury shale, Koffie Klip and Clay (Cinsault) witch act as building block for structure and freshness. Siting on south-west facing slopes.
