Swartland Chenin blanc has a very distinct expression. There are many pockets within the region that will highlight different aspects of the grape. This wine is an expression of the style of Chenin that is produced from the terroir of the Paardeberg mountain. Different slopes and aspects combine with deep, decomposed granite soil to produce a wine that is fresh, focused and austere. Three dryland vineyards, planted in 1976, 1981 and 1998 respectively, combine to produce a wine that is textured and has a typical pithy finish that is so common to the white wines of this area. This wine will reward ageing.
