From a single vineyard west of Malmesbury planted in 1987 – bush vines and dry grown. Farmed without pesticides or herbicides since 2009. 100% whole bunch pressed (no destemming). Juice was naturally fermented in 500L old French oak barrels. Ageing was done for 9 months on the gross lees after which the wine was racked once in October and bottled in early December. No filtering or fining.
An impossibly cheerful wine of cranberry and strawbery fruits, some earthy spice and fine tannin. Dry and fresh. 11.5% abv
