Magna Carta “3 Stages” Pinot Noir 2016
The four stages refers to different stages of elevage. Its aged for varying months on French Oak, Concrete Egg, Clay Amphora and then 6 months at least in glass bottle before release. The wine shows a jarring tension between tangy and fruit. Tanginess (due to the occurrence of flor when it was in concrete egg). Dominant notes of cranberry, strawberry, ripe nectarine and more subtle notes of rosa tomato, umami and beef stock.
