Natural ferment; 50% wholebunch and 50% destemmed. A gentle touch and minimal handling keeps the naturally bold tannins soft and rounded with the focus on the exceptional fruit. Lightly pressed after fermentation and aged in older French Oak for 10 months. Unique nose of mixed black & red berries followed by spices and a hint of Kalahari veld. Tannins well balanced on the lengthy palate, soft and rounded – not what you’d expect from a young tannat. Beautiful full flavour of black fruit followed by tobacco leaf, supported by a herbaceous freshness characteristic to Prieska.
